In celebration of the recent acquisition of Peyton Manning, I’ve decided to do a top 7 list. Why a top 7 list you ask? First and foremost, a large portion of the credit goes to the great #7 himself for bringing Peyton to Denver. Second, the top 10 list is way over done and a top 5 list is just too short for this topic. Therefore, a top 7 list it is!
The Top 7 crazy things I’ve seen or heard since news broke that Peyton Manning was coming to Denver.
#7 crazy. I find it crazy to watch Peyton Manning fielding Tim Tebow questions from reporters at Denver Broncos Headquarters. Welcome to Denver and crazy Tebowmania Mr. Manning.
#6 crazy. There are crazy reports that the NY Jets are interested in Tim Tebow. Didn’t Rex Ryan already get Tebowed once? That makes no sense. Sign Mark Sanchez and then bring in Timmy to Tebow him as well. Crazy, crazy in NY!
#5 crazy. That is crazy good looking.
#4 crazy. When John Elway first signed with the Denver Broncos in 1983 his contract was 12.7 million over 6 years. Peyton just signed a contract worth 96 million over 5 years. That is just crazy!
#3 crazy. This is something a columnist wrote on the Bleacher Report about the Patriots going after Timmy. “Tebow would simply be another toy for Bill Belichick to play with. Back-up quarterback? Running back? Receiver? Special teams? Throw him on the defensive unit? Check, check, check, check and check.” Marc Freshman

#2 crazy. Tebowmania is still going. The Broncos just signed one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history and I have heard more than one Tebowmaniac saying the Broncos made a bad decision. I could easily make this list a top 20 and fill in 8-20 with all of the crazy comments about Timmy this week. Tebowmania is next to crazy in the urban dictionary.
#1 crazy. It is crazy to think that after all of the changes Bronco fans have endured over the last four years that it culminates here!

Had to chime in about all of the comments surrounding Tebow right now…..I have also heard some folks think signing Manning means in 4-5 years we will be looking for the QB of the future again, and shipping Tebow off somewhere is a mistake. People, I was in the Tebow camp last year and was a big fan and thought what he brought to the table was unique and gave us our best chance to win. However, this is a rare situation, and one that the Broncos had to capitalize on. The question is this…..which would you rather have….a 4-5 year window where the odds are very good that your team will be in the mix for Super Bowls each and every year…..or, a future of uncertainty with a young QB who is still learning how to be a QB? Tebow may find a new home and flourish, and I hope he does. But the odds are just as good that he goes somewhere and its full of ups and downs. Again, last year I was a huge Tebow supporter. Just like in life, its all about choices and options. Our best OPTION was Tebow. Orton was not getting it done, and something great happened when Tebow was in there. Fast forward to now, and Peyton Manning is our best option by far. The NFL is a win now league. Players with potential get coaches fired, and the chance to have Manning here was a no brainer. The next few years are gonna be a blast for Bronco fans. Much like the mid to late 90′s, Denver will be in the championship mix, and Peyton is hugely motivated to win Super Bowls…..yes, plural…..SUPER BOWLSSSSSSSS!!!!
