Denver, CO. A stellar week of picks in week 2, as yours truly went 14-2. Some of the final scores and winning margins were spot on as well, so things went nicely. I think win or lose we are going to see another game decided by 7 points or fewer.

Good analysis Dan…..I like that, and what you said could happen. I guess I just don’t trust Denver’s safeties at all still, and I feel they will get torched one of these weeks. Peyton needs to show me he can beat a great defense with his arm, as this should be the week. I dont believe Denver will run well at all in this one, so Manning had better be a lot more precise than he was Monday. I guess it comes down to the fact that I trust Houston’s game more right now than I do Denver’s. The Broncos will warm up as the season goes on, but they lose a tough one at home this week.

I was talking about the Atlanta game. There are a few reasons the broncos will pull out a win. First is Houston’s offensive weapons. Arian Foster is a stud. No one will disagree with that. But the broncos know that as well and they will stack the box. Andre Johnson is a great receiver that will see a hall of fame cornerback covering him all game. Adams and Moore will also offer help over the top with him because Porter will be able to handle Walter. Owen Daniels is a solid TE but does not have the speed or agility to create a major headache for our linebackers. Houston has a very solid defense so far, however Peyton will not have a game like he did in Atlanta. He will find his slot receiver more like he did in the second half and tamme will have a solid game with Mcgahee forcing the texans defense to pay serious attention to the run. Broncos come out on top 27-20.

It’s actually in Denver….as long as the Broncos limit turnovers? Ok….sounds like you are giving yourself a crutch in case they don’t limit turnovers. Are they gonna win or not?

I thought Atlanta would win too. But the fact that we turned the ball over 4 times in the first quarter, played arguably a top 5 team away and only lost by six. As long as the broncos limit the turnovers, we will come out with a win in Houston.

I picked Atlanta last week as well….I can separate being a fan and being objective. Broncos will heat up later in the season. A 3-3 start would be very good, given the schedule. What’s your pick for Sunday?
