Jackson's Denver - Great Game Day Eats
ESPN is one of the sponsors of Jackson’s and often has special appearances by ESPN celebrities. They also sponsor Fowler and Friends with Colorado Rockie Dexter Fowler. Upcoming events with Dex are on June 7th at 5PM and June 28th at 5PM. Swing by and ask Dexter a question. Happy hour offerings are ½ price Coors Light, Coors Banquet, Blue Moon, Wine and well drinks. Special offerings include PBR Thursdays where you can get all you can drink PBR – $10 for guys, $5 for ladies. Drink Free Fridays – $15 at the door for guys and $5 for ladies from 9PM to midnight. Saturday nights provide the Bud Light fans BOTTOMLESS Bud Light for $8 from 10PM to midnight.
The food menu includes some standard bar fare. The appetizers include Jackson’s Green Chile which comes with a tortilla and topped with cheese. Marinated Steak Kebobs, Jumbo Pretzel, Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and my favorite Cheeseburger Sliders round out some of the favorites.
Main fare options include specialty pizzas including The Hawaiian Punch with ham, pineapple rings and battered jalapenos. The Double Play is topped with double pepperoni and double cheese. Rounding out the specialty pies is the All Star which is topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and peppers. If a specialty pizza doesn’t appeal to you just build your own starting at $6.99 and $0.50 for additional toppings.
If you are looking for a burger or sandwich there is a lot to choose from at Jackson’s. Their Legendary Burgers include the Classic Cheeseburger, the Big Kahuna (cheddar, pineapple and teriyaki), the Spicy Cabo (battered jalapenos, Monterey Jack and spicy cream cheese), and my favorite the Mushroom and Swiss topped with sautéed mushrooms and melty Swiss cheese. Sandwiches include a huge BLT, Pulled Pork, French Dip, Bambino Italian Sandwich and even a Gyro for those of you looking for some Greek Fare.
Jackson’s has been around as long as Coor’s Field and is bar far the most convenient restaurant and bar for Rockies Fans but get there early for game day as they fill up quickly! Give Jackson’s a shot next time you are headed downtown for a game DSC fans and enjoy some great game day eats.
