The weight of the 2012 season is squarely on Peyton’s shoulders

Every April when the NFL schedule is released, most Denver Broncos fans take a look at the upcoming journey and pencil in the wins and the losses for the upcoming season. Really though, it is pretty ridiculous to do so. I mean, the 2012 draft picks are all question marks, free agency isn’t done yet, trades could and will still happen, and key guys may get hurt during training camp or the regular season. However, the NFL is truly a year round sport, and we are just a mere two weeks away from training camp commencing in Dove Valley. So with that being said, here is how the 2012 Denver Broncos regular season will unfold….(Changes in these predictions WILL undoubtedly be made in August)….;)

Week 1 – vs Pittsburgh - Denver shines under the Sunday night lights in a back and forth battle, Broncos 31, Steelers 26
Week 2 – at Atlanta - The Falcons home opener on Monday Night Football. Inspired performance by a really good team…Falcons 34, Broncos 30
Week 3 – vs Houston - Manning has always owned the Texans, and that won’t change. Broncos 38, Texans 20
Week 4 – vs Oakland - Home game vs the Raiders, and Oakland gets rudely introduced to our new gunslinger…Broncos 27, Raiders 17
Week 5 – at New England - Classic matchup of course, and weather shouldn’t be an issue in early October. A true shootout between two of the games best QB’s of all time….Patriots 41, Broncos 38, in OT
Week 6 – at San Diego - Monday Night Football in So Cal, but San Diego just can’t keep up. Broncos 30, Chargers 23
Week 7 – BYE
Week 8 – vs New Orleans - Another potential assault on the scoreboard, as Brees and Bountygate head to Mile High….Broncos 42, Saints 31
Week 9 – at Cincinnati - Possibly a let down here, and a classic “trap” game….Denver finds a way….Broncos 23, Bengals 19
Week 10 – at Carolina - The Panthers are my surprise team to make the playoffs in 2012, and Cam Newton comes up big in this upset….Panthers 26, Broncos 24
Week 11 – vs San Diego - Denver bounces back, and sends Philip Rivers home cryin….Broncos 35, Chargers 20
Week 12 – at Kansas City - Typically a tough road game every year, but this time it’s a laugher….Broncos 29, Chiefs 10
Week 13 – vs Tampa Bay - Probably gonna be cold, and the Bucs don’t like the cold….Broncos 34, Bucs 16
Week 14 – at Oakland - Carson Palmer will have blown out his elbow by now, so Jeff George is brought in to ensure the Raiders dominate….Broncos 38, Raiders 13
Week 15 – at Baltimore - Denver has the AFC West clinched by now, and sleepwalks through this mid December tilt….Ravens 30, Broncos 14
Week 16 – vs Cleveland - Time to regroup and get momentum heading into the playoffs, and the Browns should be their typical 4-10 coming into this one….Broncos 33, Browns 12
Week 17 – vs Kansas City - Another playoff tune up, and the Chiefs will pack up their tent in the 2nd quarter….Broncos 20, Chiefs 7

So 12-4 it is! Bank on it, Broncos fans….and if Peyton gets hurt, like John Elway said, “Plan B? There is no plan B…we are goin with plan A!”….gotta love the honesty.
